Your information stays yours

Uploading a report does not transfer ownership of your content or remove your data-protection rights.

AI needs human judgement

An automated explanation is not confirmation that a clinician has reviewed or approved it.

Connections are optional

Direct Oura sync is awaiting provider clarification. These terms do not activate it.

This overview is a guide. The full terms below explain the agreement; your mandatory legal rights always apply.

The service and its operator

Meet Mario is operated by MediBalans Christina Biri AB, a Swedish company, organisation number 559249-7290. Our contact address is Banérgatan 10, 115 23 Stockholm, Sweden, and our email is [email protected]. In these terms, “MediBalans”, “we” and “us” mean that company. “Mario” or “the service” means the Meet Mario app and its related digital services.

These terms cover your use of Mario. A clinical consultation, laboratory test, supplement purchase or other separately ordered service may have additional terms provided before that order. Those terms govern that order without reducing rights that the law gives you. Reading this public page does not create a purchase or constitute consent to health-data processing. Where acceptance is required, you must be given these terms before being asked to agree.

Your account and access

Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in details. Use only your own account, or a representative arrangement expressly supported by MediBalans for which you have appropriate authority. Contact us before arranging access for a minor or another person who needs a representative. Do not share passwords or sign-in codes, impersonate another person or upload someone else’s records without authority.

Access depends on the service, invitation, purchase or plan associated with your verified account. An upload or refresh does not by itself grant paid access or confirm that a report has been reviewed. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or a record attached to the wrong person.

Healthcare and urgent help

Mario can help organise your information, explain recorded results and support day-to-day use of a care plan. Clinical assessment and decisions made by a healthcare professional are separate from automatically generated app content. A test upload, appointment confirmation or app message does not by itself confirm that a clinician has assessed or authorised treatment.

Do not use Mario for emergencies or assume that messages and wearable readings are monitored in real time. In a medical emergency in Sweden, call 112; elsewhere, use your local emergency number. Do not stop or change medication, supplements or treatment, or delay seeking care, solely because of an automated answer or estimate.

AI explanations and source information

AI replies, food-plan suggestions, image checks and other automated outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. They may appear before any individual clinical review. Confirm medical decisions with a qualified healthcare professional. Food or image checks cannot guarantee ingredient accuracy, absence of allergens or safety from cross-contact.

Laboratory, cellular and genomic records retain their source, measurement date and limitations. ALCAT reactivity is not a diagnosis of food allergy or a guarantee of tolerance. A CMA classification or genomic finding does not, on its own, establish a diagnosis, deficiency requiring treatment or a biological-age change. Tell us about suspected errors so that the appropriate source or clinical review can be arranged.

Age & Vitality and experimental features

Features marked as experimental, research or preview are provided for that stated purpose. Age & Vitality currently organises measurements and explores facial-age estimation; it does not provide a validated whole-body biological age, ageing rate, disease-risk prediction or number of years gained or lost. Visible facial-age estimates can be affected by the model, lighting, pose and other capture conditions.

In the private research pilot, a baseline photograph and a fresh photograph every three calendar months are prerequisites for a new assessment. Existing results remain readable. Photo processing and storage require the separate permission shown in that flow. Agreeing to these terms does not give consent for research, model training, genetic analysis or a new use of your photographs or health records.

Wearables and Oura

Wearable connections are optional. Direct Oura synchronisation is not currently activated in this prototype; provider permission and the applicable storage, consent and deletion arrangements are being clarified. Publishing these terms or registering an app with a provider does not activate a connection or authorise a new use of data.

If a connection is offered, you must authorise the provider and confirm that the account belongs to the person whose Mario profile is selected. The connection notice must identify the readings, purpose and relevant storage arrangements before import. Provider readings can be delayed, missing, revised or unavailable. A successful sync time is separate from a measurement date; Oura readiness is a provider score, not a Mario biological-age score.

You can stop future imports through the available connection controls and revoke the provider grant in the provider’s own settings. You may also contact MediBalans about access, consent, correction or deletion. Disconnecting, closing an account and requesting deletion are different actions. We must explain any lawful retention requirement; no provider data is authorised for indefinite retention by these terms.

Under the present pilot scope, Oura readings must not be used in AI prompts, model training or evaluation, or proprietary ageing-model development. Any later use requires the necessary provider agreement and a separate, valid basis for processing, including participant consent where required. Provider terms do not reduce your mandatory rights against MediBalans.

Privacy, permissions and your records

Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing, service providers, international transfers, retention and your rights. Specific optional processing, such as a supported image check, voice feature or wearable connection, has its own notice and permission where required. Accepting service terms is not a blanket consent to optional processing, marketing or research.

You can request access, correction, account closure or deletion of selected data by contacting [email protected]; the account and data deletion page explains how to make a request without signing in. We verify ownership before acting. Withdrawal of consent does not affect lawful processing already carried out. Some clinical records must be retained by law; we will explain any applicable exception and the outcome of your request. These terms do not expand a retention period or override statutory or provider-specific obligations.

Prices, subscriptions and cancellation

Before a paid order, the offer and checkout must state what is included, the price and currency, applicable taxes, duration, any trial or introductory access, and whether and when charges renew. A free account, report upload or use of this page does not itself create a paid subscription. No price or renewal is introduced merely by updating these terms.

For a subscription purchased directly from MediBalans, use the billing controls where available or contact [email protected] to cancel renewal. We will confirm the cancellation and the applicable end date. Deleting the app or requesting data deletion does not by itself confirm cancellation. An App Store or other marketplace purchase may need to be managed through that provider; its purchase and refund process applies alongside your mandatory rights. Cancelling a digital subscription does not automatically cancel a separately booked clinical appointment.

Withdrawal, problems and refunds

For purchases covered by Swedish or other applicable distance-contract law, a statutory right of withdrawal may apply, normally for 14 days, subject to the conditions and exceptions for the particular service or digital content. Healthcare and separately ordered goods or tests may follow different rules. Information about the applicable right and any lawful exception must be provided before purchase.

To exercise a right of withdrawal, send a clear statement to [email protected] or use any other legally permitted method, including an online withdrawal function where required. Include enough information to identify the order, but do not send medical records or passwords. You do not have to use a particular form. Accepting these terms or merely opening the app does not automatically waive withdrawal rights. Any lawful request for immediate performance and acknowledgement of loss of a right must be obtained separately where required.

If a digital service is faulty, delayed or not as agreed, contact us promptly. Your statutory rights to correction, price reduction, ending the agreement, a refund or compensation apply where their legal conditions are met. These terms do not replace those rights with a blanket “no refunds” rule or an artificial shorter complaint deadline.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep the rights you have in content you submit and all applicable data-protection rights. You authorise MediBalans to use that content only as needed to provide the requested service and for the lawful purposes explained in the Privacy Policy and any separate permission. Uploading records is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell them, advertise with them or train a model with them.

MediBalans and its licensors retain rights in their independently developed software, designs, documentation and methods. Each third-party provider retains its own rights. You may use the service for its intended purposes and keep copies of information that you are entitled to access. Do not gain unauthorised access, disclose other people’s records, disrupt the service or infringe intellectual-property rights. These terms do not impose exclusivity, transfer your independently developed work or restrict activities that the law permits.

Availability, changes and account restrictions

Availability can be affected by maintenance, network conditions, device compatibility and third-party services. Experimental features may be changed or withdrawn. Necessary security and conformity updates, and any changes to a paid digital service, remain subject to the agreement and applicable law. We will not rely on this clause to remove a paid-for core feature or override a right to cancel, reimbursement or another legal remedy.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect people or information, prevent unauthorised use or comply with law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and how to contact us for review. An account restriction does not remove your data rights, lawful access to records or applicable refund rights. The local prototype’s automatic sync runs only while its server is running and online; it is not an always-on monitoring service.

Responsibility and third-party services

MediBalans remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law and the agreement with you. We do not promise a particular health outcome, facial-age result, or uninterrupted or error-free experimental feature. These limitations do not exclude mandatory consumer or patient rights, liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or responsibility for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury where applicable law imposes it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, third-party service providers give no warranties concerning their contribution to this service, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and are not liable for consequential, special, punitive or indirect damages arising from that contribution. This clause does not exclude rights or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded, and does not remove MediBalans’s own responsibility to you. Displaying third-party data does not imply endorsement by that provider.

Versions and changes to these terms

This is version 1.0, prepared on 17 October 2026. You can print or download a copy of the terms. If we propose a material change, we will give appropriate notice and obtain a new agreement or consent where required. Changes do not retrospectively alter a completed purchase, silently introduce charges or authorise new processing of previously collected data.

Both Swedish and English versions are provided. If there is a difference, we will interpret the terms consistently with the information provided when your agreement was made and with your mandatory rights; a translation discrepancy does not remove those rights.

Contact, complaints and applicable law

Contact [email protected] or write to MediBalans Christina Biri AB, Banérgatan 10, 115 23 Stockholm, Sweden. Tell us which account or order your question concerns without including unnecessary health information. We will help identify the appropriate route for a service complaint, clinical concern or data-protection request.

Swedish law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to you under the law of your country of residence. These terms do not require private arbitration or prevent you from using a court or competent complaints body available to you by law. For eligible consumer disputes, you may contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN); it does not examine every type of dispute. For data-protection concerns, you may contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
